Description |
English: Presumed to be Madame Mercier, wife of Louis-Sébastien Mercier
Though, sitter was only 12 to 14 years old at the supposed datation of 1780-82 by the museum which is probably wrong. Painting clearly depict a young woman. We can consider there is a mistake about the sitter identity or date of birth. |
